Mod or not, I think my reading skills stink. I swear that it said it was a 945GSE chipset at Newegg yesterday... but more likely I just assumed it was. But today, it says quite clearly that it's GMA950. The short battery life on the Aspire (2.6 hours) seems to be because it's a 3 cell (2.2Ah) battery pack, instead of 6 cell 2.2Ah pack in the EEE PC. Still, I'm glad to hear it's GMA950. Newegg says it will arrive on Thursday... I'm more excited that I'd think I'd be to be getting a tiny low-capacity mini-laptop.

Wow! Thanks for finding that! I'm going to bring it up to my colleagues. We use similar boards as controllers for high-end networking applications. Man! for $80, that's a nice little test platform.
