Anyone want mine?

I've been playing with my 2107 for a few days and have decided I dont like it, not even for $31.

I guess I prefer actual buttons cause the lcd thing to me just isnt comfortable (and the size).

However, the functionality and JP1 ability kicks ass. So my search continues (sigh).

I plan to return it, but if anyone wants it just PM me.

PDS - That's why I went with the 15-2116 I want real physical push buttons, it has a small LCD read out at the top and the geek factor (JP1 serial).

I was wondering how the buttons available on the 2116 worked out on the ReplayTV. I have the 2107 and it has a "replay" and "live buttons" does the 2116 have some equivalent?

I found a flaw in the 2116 (not really a flaw) ... it takes AAA's not AA's

So today I had to buy 16 Nexcell rechargeable AAA's (700 mAH) from SunnBattery.com's eBay auction, cost $17 + $6 s/h = $23

Of course the remote only takes 4 AAA's but it doesn't hurt to have 12 extra AAA's laying around in case you need them.

The more and more I use my 2107, the happier I am.
However I have a unique situation and combinations of things that makes it perfect for what I need.
To each his own!

The 2107 also uses AAA as someone pointed out earlier.

Where did I read that alkaline are better for low drainage things, such as remotes? And, rechargeables are better for high drainage?
I love this remote! Only took a short amount of time to program it to do everything I want it to do. (tv, cable box, receiver, dvd player).
2 days of it beeping whenever I pushed a button.... got sick of that beep whenever the dog bumped the coffee table; turned off the beep, and now it bothers me that it doesn't beep. Oh well.

I had the 2107...I didnt like it
* tooooo big
* dont like having to look at the buttons
* buttons too sensitive....hit it too long and it presses like 10 times

I returned in exchange for the 2117...much better for me
* has buttons +++
* has lcd looks cool
* lights up looks cool
* perfect fit for my mid sized hands
* has jp1 like 2107
* works with replaytv perfectly

I like the 2117 better than the 2107 mainly due to size and lack of actual buttons ie i dont like touchscreen.

Probably true but I still prefer rechargeables.

I have been using this remote (2107) for over a week now and I really like it. I've set up all of my components on it and the functions that didn't work I was able to teach the remote in under a minute. Remember that if you are going to learn commands with the 2107, follow Ionizer's steps, not the manual.

I understand some people liking physical buttons vs. an LCD but the whole point of this thread was that this was a good deal on a touchscreen remote.

Long time reader, first time poster. I got in on this deal and love it, but I must have hit something and reprogramed a button. My cable/sat button now functions as a 2nd TV button! If I hit the ModeShift button and press the AUX3 button (which is normally the cable/sat button) it works as the cable/sat button.

I've tried to reset it and that "mapping" won't go away. Anybody have any ideal on how to make it normal again?

TIA,

So you've gone through the menu system and tried the Factory Reset option? If so, try all of the delete functions (Learning, Macro, Etc) and see if that helps.

If none of that works, I think the only way to get it back to normal would be to go into the Code Select screen and setup the Cable/Sat button as a Cable/Sat device again.

If anybody wants to buy mine, I'll sell it for $40 shipped. If not, I'll return it at Radio Shack. It was a demo model, but comes with the instructions and box. PM me soon as I might return it today or tomorrow.

Has anyone notice that there is a slight buzzing sound when the backlit is on (for the 2107)? I compared two of mine and one is noticably louder. However, this one is more light sensitive so it doesn't turn on the backlit as often like the other one.
