My sinuses have been crap for years. Cough, hack, wheeze ....

Spring allergies are kicking up due to so many trees and shrubs in bloom. I was out mowing yesterday in the wind and sucked in a ton or two of dust and shredded plant material. Planning on going to town Tuesday, should be fun watching people react.

Careful out there. People don't take too kindly to people coughing these days.

I'm quite certain I had it back in early March. Fever, cough so bad that strained a muscle in my back. But the kicker was loss of smell and taste. 3 weeks later I'm finally getting my sense of smell back. I'm in Portland where we weren't even testing at the time I came down with it. My wife works the Covid unit at work and had it too. So yeah. Hooray for short term immunity! Once I started feeling bad I self quarantined and haven't been back to work since. Been working from home on my employers televisit program and a slew of other covid responses.

Got an email from our office building that there was an unconfirmed case in the building. Also one of wife's acquaintances has a family member who passed away due to the virus. Seems like the longer this goes on the closer it is getting to affecting us. I wasn't really afraid two weeks ago but things are getting real.

Sounds like K1052 has it but he is recuperating so far.

As I mentioned MANY posts ago there's a VERY good chance I've already had it ... at this point I actually hope I did! Frankly I think its extremely unlikely I was not exposed long before the alarm was raised.

We got our first confirmed case about a week ago. For awhile, it was 2, and both confirmed contracted outside of our County. Suddenly Friday, it jumped to 7, 1 confirmed community spread, and now as of yesterday it's at 10. We're pending 60+ tests I think right now. I commute to work and live in a small town. Everyone seems to be sort of doing their part. There's still a decent amount of people doing their grocery shopping, but I'm not seeing a bunch of people driving around when I go on walks. But the city where I work in apparently is still acting like we live in a bubble. I'm lucky I can WHF, because I don't plan on going back to work unless I absolutely have to.

Honestly, I might have had it as well. I had a nasty flu like cold back in late January/early February where I had a mild fever, aches/pains, chills, labored breathing, and I was coughing my brains out for 3 weeks. The flu test came back negative, though, so they just diagnosed me with a generic viral respiratory ailment. I got an inhalor that did basically nothing for me, and sent me on my way. When they get to the point where they are testing everybody, I'll be curious if they find any antibodies for this thing in my system.

My wife is staying home indefinitely too. She had rheumatoid arthritis, and the drug she takes depresses her immune system significantly. We asked the rheumatologist if it was better she stopped taking it, but he said the storm that could cause would be worse. I do all the going out and shopping, and clean everything as it comes in the house. Yesterday I had to bribe her with chocolate to stay home
