My friend Gillian entered a contest for a walk on roll on the TV Show Mad Men. She was in the Top 25 for awhile and was pretty excited. She has had it a bit rough recently with health issues faced by both herself and her mother and it seems like she really deserves something nice.
It would be most appreciated if you could vote for her here:
Edit: Contest over. Thanks for voting!
Thanks!
Edit: It looks like she is now in the Top 10 Please keep voting and thanks again!
Update: She made it to the semi finals. Message from her:
"Okay. Whew. The constant barrage of plan updates and facebook status changes can now come to a close. If the internet isn't lying to me, I finished #9 overall (out of 3975 people) and #7 among the women. This isn't yet official - I hear the official word on the semifinalists list on August 21st (fingers crossed). They pick 10 women and 10 men for the semifinalists, and the creator/producer of Mad Men, Matthew Weiner (a man whose DVD extras I've devoured) chooses one person out of those 20 to get a walk-on role on Mad Men. Then there are 2 runners-up who get Banana Republic gift cards. I really can't thank you all enough. Seriously. This summer has been very difficult in a lot of ways, and to see all the support I have tonight has affected me profoundly. I teared up when I saw how many people changed their facebook statuses to help me out. Sappy? Yeah, okay, I'm a sappy sapper, but I mean it - all of you mean so much to me, and your support has touched me and made this possible. "
