Phew... I saw the torches and pitchforks coming and got concerned.

KT, I would have left it out there but he responded first. Wouldn't be fair to leave it floating in the breeze.

Welker and Gonzalez for a pu-pu platter of shit? Yeah, wtf. The other trade seems reasonable enough, but that first one is utter bullshit.

KT

Yeah, that Jordy Nelson included in the deal is shit. Even with Rodgers out I bet if I dropped him, no one would pick up from waivers the undisputed WR1 on a team like Green Bay. Also shitty is that Alex Smith guy that I included for the same rationale of being a replacement QB. Which was the stated reason for the trade which you didn't think was worth vetoing which included a QB lower ranked than Smith. And I've been trying to shop Jordy and Smith all day, including some offers which included a shit pu pu platter of guys like Jordy, Smith, and Jamaal Charles. Yep, Charles is a really shitty player also.

I think the minute you say you quit the league you shouldn't be able to make trades anymore. If rudeguy takes that back and says he's still competing then I have no issue with any of the trades. Otherwise both should be vetoed in my opinion.

Did you actually think that my trade offer was that unfair or is it just the principal of the whole thing?

And does anyone have actual interest in RG III, or is trading at this point pretty much off limits?

Since he's already accepted a trade which includes RG3, neither of the ones I sent earlier makes rational sense. My moving up from #6 to #5 ranked WR was premised on the value of Alex Smith overbalancing the trade.

I don't believe in vetoing trades if both parties are trying to win. Nobody really knows whats going to happen, so who is to say what is an unfair trade until after the fact. I personally think, when he plays, that reggie bush is the best running back in ppr this year. But, he's an injury risk and I'd definitely want Joique Bell to back him up, so I can see trading him if you don't have his back up. I'm not a big RG3 guy and I'd rather have Roth or Dalton off waivers, but that's more a matter of opinion than anything else.

That's good. I'd recommend you reaffirm the RG3 trade you accepted since there seems to be a lot of angst about it here.

I am fine with the trade. Rodgers is done for and I think my only other option would be trying to talk Kitna into a comeback

Great. Now is the rest of the league OK if I go about trying to trade for an upgraded TE, or do I need to run everything by y'all first so it doesn't get vetoed? Perhaps I can get a white list of players who aren't on the "shit platter" in your opinion?

Ill offer you all the guys on waivers for dez bryant and his bulging disk. THATS LIKE 500 PTS A WEEK FOR A GUY WITH BACK PROBLEMS!

Yeah, sure.

Hey, F.O.Y.P since you have 2 TEs rostered (Gronk, and Jordan Reed presumingly to cover him on his Bye this week), are you open to trading Reed? I was going to offer Jordy Nelson for one of them, but I'm open to suggestions if you are looking for something else. I'll just post it here in the open to let everyone exercise a pre-veto to save them the trouble of going to the ESPN site if you agreed.

Honestly I was busy yesterday and did not think it all the way through, but what should have happened is both trades should have been vetoed and Rude's account should have been locked. When someone announces they are throwing in the towel and begins selling off their team, that is the only option. As it was, people found the one trade to be more egregious and vetoed it because of that.

Agreed. At first I voted to veto both, then went back to allow the fair trade, then flopped back to veto vote.

I'd prefer Rude try to update his team though, to keep things fair. Trading, no...

There's one every year...

I've tried a few times

A bunch of my players are locked so I can't do shit right now. I'm stuck with Rodgers apparently.

Yup.

I also love how glenn is painting himself as the victim. Earlier in the season Rudeguy attempted to give me Matt Stafford for anyone on my team because he was annoyed at the league for some reason, I refused and said that if we made any trade it had to be because he thought he was making his team better.

I'd still like rudeguy to explain why he thought it was a good idea to say he was quitting the league and then to dump half his team in trades.

I understand that saying you're throwing in the towel and then trading a pile of your players around is probably not the best policy.

However, I am trying to help him upgrade his team by giving him a good QB (27 pts last night) as well as a meh replacement for his player in exchange for an upgrade to my team. If you guys are pissed cause I am competing with you and am working to make my team better, then that's a BS reason to veto a pretty fair trade.

Everyone already said it was the first thing. If rudeguy hadn't come on here and said he was quitting very little would have been said about your trade.

I feel bad for KT, I actually think he has the best team and it's 3-6.

edit* i meant the F.O. Y.P team.

The only reason I ask is cause 202 mentioned he went back to vetoing the trade and I was curious if it was because he thought it was unfair or because the standings were so close.

no, because rudeguy doesn't care about his team and was clearly willing to accept just about any trade.

why would I flip flop if either of those reasons were my issue?

Unsure. I have been in leagues with some very finicky managers so I always wonder, even if it seems stupid.
