We recently had to move to a MUCH smaller apartment, so there is no longer a seperate room for the kitties, and my husband is very allergic. If anyone here is in central Texas or knows someone who is and is interested in getting a cat PLEASE let me know. I will get all their shots up to date, they will come with their beds, toys, some cat furniture, crates, and collars. They are all indoor cats ONLY.

Felina
2.5 year old spayed female short haired tabby. She loves to play with her mouse, and is good about getting her nails trimmed. She is kinda shy around strangers, and prefers to have a "safety" room to retreat to.

Atilla
2.5 year old spayed female short haired torbie (tortise shell/tabby). She and Felina are sisters and have been together since birth. It would be awesome if I could find someone who would want both of them, but it isn't necessary. Atilla loves to watch out the window and likes to be petted. She is also really good about getteing her nails trimmed. And like her sister she is shy around strangers and like to have a "safety" room.

Liam a.k.a. Dr. Liam Ketchup Reilly
3 year old neutered male medium haired orange tabby. He is very food motivated. I've always thought he could be trained to do tricks easily. He loves to play with the wand toys and to jump on furniture and get to high places. He is also very independent and wants attention on his terms. Also, he is very bad about his nails being trimmed, it takes 2 people to do it.

ANY help in this would be much appreciated. I've asked everyone I know to ask everyone they know, but so far no luck. It is absolute :brokenheart: for me to do this, but it is better than them living in x-large dog crates the rest of their lives.
Thanks ATOT.

I just adopted two kittens, and I don't live in Texas. I hope someone takes them though.

Hmmmm

My wife just said I can get a cat because I'm a cat person.

Felina looks like cat I grew up with until I was 14, Twinkle.

I will be travelling through Amarillo over the Labor Day weekend, any chance meeting up there?

Can you get rid of your husband? OMG jk jk I'm so mean

I wish I could help. I really want someone to snuggle with but since I move around a lot and tend to go on long trips, I don't think I can take care of a kitty or a doggy

Sorry that would just be too long of a trip to make. It would be over 16 hours there and back. Thank you very much for the offer though.

We are still keeping Jarvis, her other cat. So no need to get rid of the husband. Besides, I like the kitties too--I just happened to be allergic to them.

Priority mail wouldn't be TOO expensive.

Felina looks like my one cat, Beverly, who also is not exactly thrilled when anyone unfamiliar comes over. Beverly will hide even if UPS comes to the door - as soon as the doorbell rings, her tail goes between her legs, she gets close to the ground, and runs for cover.

Hope you find homes for your critters.

Put an ad in your local Re-Cycler newspaper or post in the local laundry-mats.
As I got older my cat allergy dis-da-peared, it just went away.

My best to the both of you.

Or just dumping them off at the local shelter for euthanization.

Still... IMO getting a cat is a lifetime committment -- either the cat's lifetime or yours. It wouldn't be condoned if people said they have to give away their own children because they had to move to smaller apartment. If you're not willing to make that kind of committment, then you shouldn't get a cat in the first place.

I wouldn't get rid of my cats just because my husband sneezes a little and get itchy eyes. He reacts to his allergies in a very unusal way. His skin starts itching so bad he can't sleep and soon he breaks out into open bleeding oozing wounds some that take months to go away.

And trust me this IS like trying to find homes for my children. If I am not COMPLETELY satisfied with the person/situation the cat would be going to, they they aren't going to get them.

I'm glad you're trying to find a home for your kittys, but I have to agree with Vic. If your husband had allergies that bad to begin with, you should have never gotten the cats in the first place. That is trouble waiting to happen, on so many different levels, especially with apartment living.

And 2nd... this is no way similar to 'finding a home for your children'. However much I love my cat, she isn't my child, and I would never compare the two.

In any case, good luck finding them a home.

Good luck on finding them a home. I know this must be hard. They look like nice cats.
