the danish crown prince is currently doing an ironman here in Denmark, he did the swim in 68 minutes which is pretty good for a 45 year old guy. (I know you 'muricans don't like royalty but he's actually a very likable guy, his little brother comes off as kind of a douche though)

Well laundry room is pretty much done for this phase of the basement project. Though I may varnish that floor. I also need to figure out how to fasten it better. Tapcons are pieces of crap. Might have to go with some big anchors. It's mostly around the sump pit area that it's really bad because of the concrete floor slope. I have shims for now but I kind of hate to shim dricore like that.

yeah, I'm OCD about labeling stuff. Iti's pretty obvious it goes to the laundry room if you follow the pipes.

And the dricore complete, and everything hooked up:

Not bad. You DO realize that the stuff is SUB-flooring - it's not really designed to be the top layer. Get that stuff damp (washing machine area), and it's going to swell. In the laundry area, you might want to consider something like a linoleum flooring to go over it. Armstrong has a thick flooring that you don't even have to glue - just set it in place.

Yeah For now it will stay that way and I'll just have to watch, but I do plan to varnish it or something, I need to inform myself on best approach for something that will be at least water resistant. At this point it's just to give me something to walk on without needing shoes. The old concrete floor was dirty and uncleanable because of how rough it is. For rest of basement I'll probably eventually install floating floor over it but it will stay as dricore for the time being. I've actually seen jobs where they stained and varnished and it actually looks really nice, despite not being designed for an actual floor.

But yeah it seems to swell or even compress if it gets wet. I had to put a few tiles aside while installing since when I brought them in the house it was middle of winter and I probably missed some spots when wiping snow off. Had some holes that almost looked like a tennis ball hit it very hard or something, but it was the water that pooled there and dried.
