It's actually been done, I was reading about this AM radio station in the old days that had a fountain in front of their office, it was actually their cooling system. The water spraying in the air would help dissipate heat and it just ended up in a pool that eventually got recirculated.
I need to actually build my server room's hvac system. Once I build that and pipe it all up and have it running I'll be able to finally close that room up and seal it. Wont be as loud and it also wont get as much dust inside. My system will just be air cooled though, basically it will just move air from/to different location based on various temp sensor readouts. Also need to go through a HRV so most of the air actually goes outside but I retain the heat/cold if required. Need to get rid of the hydrogen produced by the batteries. Downside of constant air shifting like this is it will be hard to control humidity.
