New watch nef.About time, you might say?
(It's a Casio G-Shock GWM-5610.)
Basically replacing my old G-Shock GW5525A,which I've had since Nov.2009.
The week-long snowstorm that make Toronto a laughing stock in early 90s was around this timeframe as well. Boxing day was when we got buried.
Haha I'll never forget that. Though funny enough we hardly get snow storms here now days, so when we do they tend to cancel school buses now. We are getting weaker and too accustomed to global warming. Mind you they did cancel buses back in the day too but it had to be a BIG storm like several feet in a day. We don't get that much snow anymore. We have maybe 1 foot on the ground now, that's it, and we're already about half way through winter.
In flatland, the big ole storms tend to be in February. In the early '90s, it was January and on a Thursday.
Toronto got 118cm of snow that time. that's almost four feet for you metric challenged Amerikanzy
Was it really that much? I always had the impression it was like 15cm or something paltry like that. Over 1m of snow would definitely be an inconvenience as even with a snow blower it would be hard to get out of the driveway. I think I would say F-it and just snow shoe to work that day lol and deal with the driveway after work.
