Did I mention I hate flat head screws. Especially when you have to torque it? Sliced my finger open.

Lol that's insane. That's about what I make in 2 months before any costs of living.

I freak out when mine hits $1,000. It's like "I don't remember buying that much stuff!". I put everything on there though.

Speaking of which I should check if the dealership cashed my cheque. That's going to be a big dent in the credit line lol.

Kids are expensive.

That happened when I tried to put the zinc faceplate on the box. Screw has to line up to socket. Not so easy when you have 8ga cable in box, so socket is a bit crooked.

Ouch, yeah working with thick gauge is not fun. Things get really fun when you get into the #6 and thicker territory. #2 gets really fun. I still want to redo all my DC stuff, I did a crappy job of it. I need to figure out where to buy copper bus bars so I can do it right. Worse case scenario I'll make my own using flattened copper pipe, it's just that it's hard to know how much amps I can put through it given it's not rated for that.

HD or Lowes would be expensive. Your friendly local plumbing supply house would have more. If you don't need that much keep your eyes open in your 'hood for a plumbing truck, they might have scrap to sell for cash and carry.

I still need to do the 100a feed to my server room and garage. My server room has a dedicated panel but it's fed by a single 15 amp circuit lol. That was suppose to be temporary. My current main panel is too physically small to fit 2 big 100a feeders into so I need to swap it out, and also surface mount it on the wall instead of flush mount as it will make it easier to run the big feeders. I kinda need to do my UPS upgrade before I do any of that though as it would require at least several hours of no power to the servers while I'm swapping the panel.

I could cheat and just do 40 amps though since that would fit in the current setup, since realistically I doubt I'll ever use close to that considering I'm not even overloading a single 15 amp leg. The server room panel feeds the whole basement and not just the server room though.

You need to upgrade cable.

You need to upgrade cable.

Obviously. Issue is there's no room in the current panel to physically do that which is why it's on a 15 amp right now. I would run some 100a teck but need to upgrade main panel first and move it while I'm at it so it's surface mount on the new wall.

This is my panel now, not much room to run a conduit or big cable in. At very lest I need to move it so it's surface mount with that wall. Want to do that anyway so I can insulate behind it.

But I need to take all the wiring out of it to do that so may as well change to a bigger one.
