I have one gigabyte board, in my wife's system. I've been an Asus man since Abit died. Once you get them stable (or RMA for DOA) you can pretty much count on a long life (minus electricity events).

14TB turns into 12.7TB usable

Yep, I hate the way they advertise drives. 1KB is suppose to be 1024 bytes, 1MB 1024KB and so on, but drive manufacturers use 1,000. So by 14TB they really mean 14,000,000,000,000 bytes but 14,000,000,000,000/1024/1024/1924/1024 = 12.73TB

Been toying with upgrading my storage too. Drives are so big now compared to the last time I added storage. All my drives are like 1-3TB lol. I think it's time to upgrade my array that uses all 1TB drives and use those slots for bigger drives.

I'm in money saving mode right now though, my credit line is at over 10k because I bought a truck. Waiting till after tax season to take out more shares as I took a lot out already in 2019 so I'm worried I might take a big hit. That will dictate whether or not I take more out.

You keep the pr0n folder hidden

no, you keep a different vm for that

nice thing about 2012 datacenter licence is that you can spawn unlimited vms of same 2012 datacenter licence, as long as it is on the same box.

tell me how any mb can be called ultra when it doesn't have a bios reset button. it has jumper pins... and the actual jumper is not even there. had to use a screw driver to short the pins.

What is your OS and what is your VM? I think I have a copy of Server 2012 R2 that has unlimited licenses for VM.

What is your motherboard for your server?

It's just history. Memory has always been base2, but storage has been base10.

That's weird, since when do pizza places close on Sundays? I guess I should really be preparing stuff to bring at work on weekend shifts instead of ordering all the time anyway...
