No, even the one I made did not taste like CLR, it's just a really "old water" taste, it taste like hot water, hard to explain, but you know like an old water heater if you run the water there is a bit of a smell, it taste like that.

You need to descale more. Just put straight vinegar in and let it soak.

Going to attempt to make coffee and hope it comes out ok. Ran water through the machine mostly all day yesterday and doing some more now. If that does not do it, then I think it will be time for a new machine. I'll keep this one and just let it soak for a super long time or something. If I get it going I could eventually bring it out at camp if I do end up buying property.

Waiting for my car maintenance to be completed, I spent the time reading Wikipedia on Kabbalah. Apparently, two hours of reading is insufficient to even figure out a starting point for reading about Kabbalah.

The weather seems weird all over. Even here it's all over the place now days. One day it can be snowing the other day it can be shorts and tshirt weather. The snow we get now is weird too, instead of the soft dry stuff that you can just brush off easily, it's this weird icy crusty stuff that just cakes everything, even road signs. Never seen anything like this, but it seems to be the new norm now. It sucks. It takes a good half hour of scraping if I want to drive anywhere.

Man been lazy on my time off... really wanted to do some coding on a php application but just don't have the drive. It's basically just a base website wrapper and it has a lot of reusable code, which I will need for my next project, so it makes more sense to finish this one first so I can just use it for the next project.

Could not fall asleep last night, but I basically designed a basic token ring like network in my head that will use basic 8 bit micro controllers as nodes that connect to sensors/controls. This will be useful for another project I have in mind for home automation that will run on a token ring style bus network.

Now if only I had the motivation in the day to actually work on all these projects I think of when I can't sleep.

So apparently we got a 3.0 tremor earlier. The building I'm in makes all sorts of bang noises all the time so it's hard to know if I actually heard it or not since I practically phase the noises out now.

Think it was actually natural, mine did not indicate anything about blasting but did detect activity before they were about to blast. Was actually 2.9. Happened at around 9,600 feet level.

Done night shifts, then start days tomorrow. Crazy turn over, but I ended up working a coworker's night since he needed the day off, and then he will work mine some time in December. So I'll just stay up so I can get up early tomorrow.

I could use this day to put up my Christmas tree but honestly I think it will be a tough one, the bed already looks pretty good right now. But if I sleep today then there is no way I would be able to get up early tomorrow, so I'll have to tough it out. At least try to tough it until late afternoon.

I'll wait a couple hours and go for a walk when there's daylight out, that should wake me up a little.
