This took way longer than I wanted it to, but the shed solar is now running on the new 24v 3000w inverter. That liberates my small 350w 12v one which I will use for my portable system.

I still need to wire the actual AC panel, and do monitoring and automation (turn stuff off if battery voltage gets too low) but I will do that another time I think. I still need to run the line to the house too and then put the panel in the house. I will hopefully get around to doing that before winter so I have like a month max to do that.

Woah glad I caught this. Charge controller seems to be acting funny. It was sending 29 volts to the batteries and they were boiling over. It should be 27 volts. It may have been doing equalize but that seems high even for equalize.

Thankfully I caught it early on or it would have killed the batteries. Don't think anything was getting hot enough to cause issues though I should probably setup hydrogen venting. I sent an email to support to see how I can lower the voltage but everything I'm reading online seems to indicate I need to buy a separate remote panel that connects to it. Ridiculous that they can't just do regular serial that you can just use a terminal program with and then offer a basic text interface. Like a router or switch etc.

I thought maybe it was doing equalize and that it would tone down but after an hour of leaving it on again it never stopped. Still this is way too high for equalize. At work the equalize will tend to be around 55v. That would be equivalant to 27.5v on a 24v system, not 29+.
