My first Factor food box came in. I was a bit worried at the amount of pollution this service might generate but it looks like everything involved is recyclable. Even the food containers are #1 plastic. The ice packs are only water. I don't know if the ice pack plastic is recyclable though... I will need to find out. #7 plastic if I recall The insulation is like shredded cardboard batts so that's recyclable too.
Food itself is good, only had one so far, but my main complaint is for the price, the portions are small. But I have to remember it's suppose to be 1 meal, while I tend to go against the norm and just east 1 big meal per day.
I don't think I will replace my entire diet with these, but they will be a convenient replacement for when I don't know what to make and rather than order take out I'll eat one of those. I'll experiment with freezing them as well. If that works out I'll switch to the biggest box option and just order less often.
