So the total for property clearing was $8,650. I was kinda close in my guess. All paid in full and done now. That's not counting the gravel though, which should come up to around $2,400. That should come out of my credit card at some point.

So went a little over my 10k budget but also did a lot more than I anticipated. With the way the ground was so rocky it would have been impossible to drive a vehicle as is so pretty much needed the extra time with tractor and dump trailer to haul in the fill, and the gravel is going to help too. Although it seems it really just got buried in the sand... I still have not drove my truck on that so I'm hoping it's going to pack down well. I may need to get more gravel, might go with chip and dust instead of A grade next time.

Dehumidifier on the fritz. Electronics seem to be hosed/or the microswitch shutoff failed (still clicks, but contacts could be corroded). Anyway, so it's overflowing.
It's 10 years old and has been running in the basement, which is pretty good for a $250 DH (from 2014). I think I'll get one with a pump this time.

Even with the a/c running all of the time, The humidity is rarely under 40%. So I'm hoping this will pick up some of the slack.

Eh? AC should take care of humidity no?

Running a dehumidifier is the same as running ac, without the benefit of cooling the room.

Whole house AC will. Mini splits cooling specific rooms only reduces it. My. Basement's humidity is 65-75%. Drooping it to 50% drops the humidity on the first floor by about 10%.

That’s one thing I don’t like about this house, my last house had whole house AC. Inventory dropped just as we were shopping for a house around this size (we were down sizing).
