Nah I think it only becomes an issue on surfaces that are below freezing. Like poorly insulated/leaky walls get frost if the humidifier is set too high. I try to keep it at around 15-20% or so, if I go any higher then I start to get frost at the bottom edge of windows and stuff.
Cranking the humidifier is a great way to see what walls are badly insulated though. lol
That was my patio door, that whole section was terrible and reveiled a lot about my house. They never bothered taping any of the vapour barrier. That's why it's so cold in the lower level. That patio door got changed and I fixed the vapour barrier all around though.
I'd have to make a case to do all the walls but it would be a pretty big job. Well, messy. Kitchen is really bad. Freaking cold in there all the time.
