So, this is some BS.

I got a job, promising a really good morning schedule with a no-overtime policy, but sometimes coming in on Saturdays. I could dig that. Now that I'm hired they want to work 10 hours a day and Saturdays. This is ridiculous. I was planning on using my afternoons for appoinments and being a volunteer football coach some days. This clearly wasn't able to happen and now I'm fucking livid with this job.

I felt sick all morning and left early (8 1/2 hours into the shift) and I know I'm going to get shit for it. I turned down a higher paying job that has the schedule I'm working now, so I really got screwed over on this deal. This company has very high turnover and it's no wonder why.

I'm seriously contemplating trying to unionize this workplace or be laid off trying. We're all getting boned and intimidated by supervisors and management. People are being coerced to work unscheduled overtime, up to 16 hours in some cases.

Yep, never take a job that does not pay for OT. IMO that should be illegal. It's crazy that it's even a thing to ask people to work more without paying them. It's practically slavery.

If everyone shares the same feelings I totally would try to form a union. Need to be super hush hush about it until it's in place though, it's a very risky operation to do as if management gets wind of it they will just fire you all. The planing etc should be done off company time and off company property as well. Preferably at someone's house and not in public.
