Throat is killing me, tested negative for covid but definitely picked up something. My parents got the same thing too and so did like half of my nephew's hockey team. Something nasty going around.

Could use ice cream right now but I don't have any in the house and don't really want to go out while sick so just ordered Wendy's through Skip and got an extra large frosty.

Some grocery stores do curb side pickup but you need to book well ahead of time, it's not same day.

I will be going to clinic today to see if it's strep. I get that every couple years it seems. In a way I hope it's that since at least antibiotics will help. If it's viral there is not much they can do. The pain is excrutiating today. Just got up since I could not sleep.

So, your doc didn't test you for strep?

They only do phone appointments right now so there was no way to test. He asked if I could visibly see anything in my throat and I can't so he figures it's not strep. I seem to catch these throat viruses all the time now, sometimes I do actually catch strep, and at least that one is curable with antibiotics, but the virus ones there does not seem to be anything they can do. Caught something similar 2 years ago when covid just started but it was not as bad as this one.

Not with this covid crap going on. But even during normal times it's hard to get into one, they have really weird hours.

If it's not better by tomorrow think I'm going to go to the ER. If anything I at least need pain killers that are stronger than off the shelf stuff. Problem is I can't talk so it makes it hard to even explain what's going on when they see me.
