Hey, I wanted to bring up some things I noticed in the movie while seeing it and was curious what other folks spotted. Obviously you shouldn't read this thread until you've seen the film (unless you want it to be spoiled for you).

I was wondering, does Anakin use the Jedi mind trick on Padme when we see only their shadows outside the Tatoine home? Also, at first I thought that Darth Sidious (Palpatine) was building both armies, however it seemed like perhaps Yoda himself had comissioned the construction of the clone army.

Thanks for the sticky, more evidence to how much this movie rocks!

Yoda: *limp limp limp*... then hop around and do flips like a 5 year old after eating the entire contents of his easter basket prior to his parents waking up.

Oh, and Natalie Portman looks much, much better without makeup. Not to mention she is wearing less this time

Did they really have to make that tiger thing shred her clothes at midriff just to add some sex, and how come she wasn't bleeding when she was knocked out of the speeding ship? I could go on, especially about the cheesy scene with Anakin and his mom, but I won't. This movie sucked.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Please. Shallow wounds to an area like your back will clot up in a half hour.

My only real complaint was that the original episodes could be viewed as stand alones, whereas EP1 and EP2 are not really stand alone movies, rather they are obviously part of a series. In that respect, Star Wars EP1-2 is much like LOTR FOTR.

Okay, didn't that race of Cloners say that Jingo Fett's only demand for allowing himself to be cloned was one, unaltered clone for himself? Which one REALLY got killed in the arena: Jingo or the unaltered Jingo clone?

OK, but will they completely heal in a half hour? If something resembling a tiger mauled you do you think you would call it a "shallow wound"? If you fell out of a space ship do you think you would do a couple of barrel rolls then get up to go save the day? If your mom was missing for a month, what are the odds you would walk in just as she was dying?

This movie was way too cheesy.

what are the odds you would

be a jedi...?

Namely one of the most powerful ones. Tell me, is this a real universe? I want directions on how to get there. Tell me where I can by a full working a wing.

Now that you realize its cinema, you will notice that 99.9% of the movies have these flaws. Live with them or you'll never like the majority of the movies. The others here voice well enough my enthusiasm for this movie.

PS. What tiger like creature would die from being rammed once. What tiger like creature would flinch from getting hit by a simple chain. What movie are there no costume mistakes?

Pardons for the bashing...

In the beginning there was Jingo Fett and his son Boba Fett. Because of his l337 fighting skill, the Cloners and Jingo Fett are commissioned by Darth Sideous/The Emperor/Senator Palpetine to create an army of clones. All that Jingo Fett asks in return is that ONE clone of himself be unaltered for HIS personal use. Now there are TWO Jingo Fetts and one son, Boba Fett. One of the Two Jingo Fetts is killed in the area in EPII. We see Jingo's son, Boba, hold his dad's helmet as a foreshadowing of Boba becoming the Bounty Hunter that delivers Han to Darth Vader in EP5. Now, one Jingo Fett, either the real one or the unaltered clone, remains.

Make sense?

This movie sucked.

amen brotha.

and boba IS jango's clone/son. boba is the only unaltered clone... which also means his growth was not accelerated. which explains why he's just a kid.

Hmmm...I never found myself thinking about these things before or after Spider-man. Perhaps that is because Spider-man had a plot to keep me entertained.

I guess, in a galaxy far far away, the laws of physics don't apply. I suppose that's believable.

They said that a clone army was commissioned 10 years ago. Jango let them clone him ten years before then. The cloner people said that they could cut the time for a clone to mature in half. So the oldest these clones could be is 20-30 years old (assuming it was exactly 10 years before and not a little more). An unaltered clone could only be 10-15 years old (again giving it some leeway) so Boba looking like he was 10-12 years old is the clone. BTW, I thought the movie sucked for the first hour and a half. Switching back and forth from planet to planet and then going to tatooine and switching some more was not a good move. I also despise child actors. I'm glad Boba Fett didn't ahve the same screen time that the young anakin did.

I also don't believe that Sammy L.'s fight scene was very good. Didn't he say George Lucas promised he would win best action sequence with that movie? The Jedi in general didn't seem to be very strong either. Obi Wan and Qui Gon in the last movie, kicked some ass. When those droids were shooting at them they deflected all the blasts relatively easily, threw them around and when they were outnumbered moved very quickly. Nobody even pushed the droids to the ground, although that would seem to be the easiest way. The big group battle looked like a bunch of extras swinging sticks, no real swordsmanship. Obi Wan got his ass handed to him by Dooku, and that should have led to a long battle scene with Anakin. The dual lightsabers was cool, but it should have been a more drawn out, showing Anakin getting p!ssed and having great power. Then Yoday would come in and hand his clean up, which he did. I wonder if a cgi character can win best fight scene.

Redeeming points:
Natalie Portman in the blue outfit
Natalie Portman in the white outfit
Natalie Portman in the torn white outfit

edit:took me too long to type this rant, I guess someone beat me to the proof of boba being the clone.

another edit: I hope Lucas brings in someone that can write dialogue for the next movie. I don't like it when he uses current slang terms. And learn to use humor where it is needed, and not in the middle of a battle scene with a stubby robot dragging the head of another one around. "What a drag"

Well then, its obviously different tastes as I prefered the comics far more to the movie. In fact, I thought the movie was on par with most movies i've seen, at best. Alas, its a good thing we're all different. Wouldn't wish to be clones now

No. Boba is Jingo's son.

Jingo?

anyway no Boba is a clone of Jango. Remember when they said Jango wanted to keep one of the clones, blah blah blah... That is Boba.

Oh my god Yoda... No words can describe how crazy everyone in the theater went during this scene. I now know why he is the master

I really thought the end of the film was good with the "Star Destroyers" loading up the clone troops as Palpatine looked on and you could here the imperial march being played. awesome...

also the Death Star plans were in the movie! this was a suprise, but a cool one

I thought the movie had some "slow" parts, but it was so much better than Episode 1. I still don't know where I would put it with ANH, ESB, ROTJ. But this was great... MUST SEE AGAIN!

I've taken a lot of heat for saying it, but I liked this one better than ROTJ....

someone in our group said the same thing...

he said that ANH and ESB were still his top two, but he liked this one better than ROTJ.

Oh and another scene had me cracking up. When C3PO got his head switched with a battle droid. That was comedy! Not the gungan crap from episode 1.

did anyone notice that when Padme and Anakin kiss at the hut their shadows merge and look like a shadow of Darth Vader?

OK, we're all different. But AOTC still sucked, unless you are a Star Wars geek and believe Lucas can do no wrong.

BTW, I swear I heard Jar Jar say "Me so horny".
