I have heard few people complain that they coudl see pixels in the movie. So I kept my eyes open and tried to see them. I didn't. The image-quality was PERFECT in the theater I saw it in. It could change from theater to theater.

EDIT: Actually, there's no DVD yet for the IV, V & VI. But it says on their web site that the DVD and the remastered VHS came out in 2000. I guess the DVD didn't.

DVD for 4,5, and 6 will come out after episode 3 comes out in 2005.

I wish he'd just work on the dvd's for 4, 5, and 6. There's just something about the chemistry between Hans Solo and the princess that puts these two teenagers to shame.

I loved Ep 1 and did not care for Ep 2 too much...

I think that the Emperor is Anikins father.......... because the emperor turns anikin to the darkside & vader tries to turn luke.

i concur... there was too many computer effects.... that were really obvious... i think they could have done without them... but i like how the dark side has been playing both sides of the fight... thats smart... so no matter how it ends.. they win... but the CG was really dumb... ill take the original storm troopers over the clones anyday...

*edit* i forgot to mention that the mace windu vs jango fett battle that i was all hyped up for was "cut" short... it shoulda been longer....

I concur absolutely, and there's one major difference between the two love stories - Harrison Ford. You can say anything you want about him, but you have to admit he's a better actor than Hayden Christiansen. And the writing was better back then, too. But true star wars fans will chalk it up to the fact that the people in the first trilogy didn't have to be formal like they do in these new movies, so the speech patterns will likely be different. I think it had a lot to do with the actors, though....Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher are much better actors than Hayden Christiansen and Natalie Portman (but Natalie is much hotter )

i think lucas just left too much of AOTC on the cutting room floor.

i watched ESB today. it had been a while. i enjoyed ep2, heck i liked ep1, too, but 4 and 5 are just soooooooooo much better. i think lucas needs to give up more control during the making of ep3.


anakin is a whiny brat, just like luke was. works well for me.

yah, he is also the emperor that you see in episodes 5 and 6. Darth sideous (sp?) may have come from Sifo Deyus (sp?) and turned into senator palpatine, though most think he was just a humble dude with force powers from naboo (lol, right....) He becomes the senator, is granted emergency powers as chancellor, and keeps those powers till his death as the galaxy is in a constant state of civil war. He eventually takes on the name of emperor and becomes all ragged and nasty looking.

P.S. I really enjoyed this movie, even the story with Jango and Boba *might* be able to be reconsiled with the Journyman Protector Jasper Mereel story from the books, if you stretch your thinking...

I actually thought he did an awesome job as anakin. Yes, the dream scene was hilarious and really, really stupid, but I liked the way he acted as a whinny and power-hungry brat (I wonder how much acting that actually took for him...) He was very convincing to me, especially that look he gives after his mom dies, that alone sells it.

As for those who were looking for blood in that scene with the tuskan raiders... well, thats just too bad. Lightsabers have this annoying trait of always cauterizing (sp?) wounds after they cut someone, so there would be no blood to begin with. It would be nice to see heads fly though

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but i thought it was a great film. One of the best ones of the Star Wars series IMHO. Far superior to Phantom Menace, and Spider Man, both of which i thought were pretty mediocre.

I thought that Lucas took most of the stuff that worked from the other 4 films, and ditched most of the stuff that didn't really work in Jedi and Phantom Menace. Sure, Clones had some rough spots, but so did all of the Star Wars films. You have to advance the plot somehow.

i wonder how this movie is viewed in other countries. especially ones not in english, do they notice the wooden acting from padme/anikin less since they rely on subtitles? i dunno i wonder what they harp on

There is one thing that I find curious. What are the ages of Anakin and Padme in EP1 and EP2? Since Natalie Portman is in both movies it gives a clue. I figure she can play an age range of 15-25 years old. I guess Anakin to be 6ish in EP1. I would guess Padme would be in the "lower end" of her age range in EP1, so let's say she was 15. Which makes sense since she said she was elected young as queen in EP2. At the beginning of EP2 Anakin says he hasn't seen her in 10 years. So I'm lead to believe that 10 years have passed since EP1. So this would put Padme at a believable 25 years old, but what about Anakin? This would make him only 16ish years old in EP2. He sure doesn't look it. Does anyone have any more info to clear this up for me? And what HOT 25 year old babe would go for such a whiney 16 year old kid?
