No broken bones, no stiches... but I did crash my BMX bike off a jump once and was paralized from waist down for about 12 hours from nerve trauma.

My right arm when I was five.

Once, when I was about 14, I took a pretty nasty spill on my bike. I was trying to be stupid and went to weave between a mailbox and a moving truck while I was blasting down hill at full speed. I had that split second "Oh shit!" right as I got up to the space between them as I realized I was too close to the mail box. I overcompensated and slammed my right handle bar into the truck, stopped my bike dead, I went flying. Hit the ground and rolled a couple times before planting my forehead into the pavement (wearing no helmet.) Fortunately the worst I suffered was on my back. I had shred my shirt open and tore off a nice long gash of flesh, about 9" long from my waist on the left side to my right shoulder and I ripped some skin off my knees. A friend who was with me walked me home. (I was a mile or so from my house.)

I broke the pinky bone (5th metacarpal) in both hands once. In emerg, they gave me these pink wraps over my splints before I got the permanent ones. Friends are still calling me "Lobsterboy."

Ankle although I think it was just a fracture.

Again, fractures are the same thing as a broken bone. No difference...they are identical.

So, compound fractures and fractures are the same thing?

There are many types of fractures. You have open fractures, or compound fractures, where the bone exits and is visible through the skin or is visible through a deep cut. Then there are closed fractures which are separated into:
transverse fractures: a straight break across the bone
greenstick fractures: one side is broken while the other side "bends"; incomplete fracture
oblique fractures: a diagonal break
spiral (or torsion) fractures: the break spirals around the bone, usually due to a twisting injury
compression fractures: the bone is compressed and cracks under the pressure
communuted fractures: the bones breaks into three or more pieces
fissure (or hairline) fractures: the bone breaks only in the outer layer, but not completely through
fragmented fracture: the bone breaks into many pieces

All of these are broken bones. The term "broken bone" is synonymous with "fracture."

i broke my right tibia and fibula christmas day a few years back. i was rollerblading and as when i was landing from a jump i landed wrong ang snaped my bones where the top of my rollerblade boot was. i didnt realize it at the time and thought i just sprained it so i go up and fell down after doing that a few times i realized i coudnt get up so i got my mom to take me to the hospital. i was in the E.R waiting room for 6 hours just waiting there for a doctor to see me in the meantime only 1-2 people per hour had a doctor look at them . we dicided to leave to go to another hospital after sitting there with my ankle swelling up to the size of a large grapefruit. at the other hospital as soon as i got out of the car i had two nurses bring me a a strecher and they removed my boot and wheeled me in to the E.R i was there for another 4 hours till a doctor came to see me. i ended up getting a cast put on at around 12 pm 11 hours after i broke my leg.

I've played all the major sports and still play hockey weekly... surprisingly have never gotten hurt at all... other than the time someone cross-checked me in the abs and I lost my spleen... but that was a freak accident. I thought I'd at least break bones or lose teeth or something...

A bunch of times. I've broken 2 fingers, 1 toe, and 1 wrist.

I've also torn ligaments in my knees and shoulder. Surgery on the shoulder...scar is still pretty ugly.

I also split open my elbow so badly that you could literally see the elbow bone/joint through the "drooping" skin.
