ATOT Pwned me!

So we all know the new 3G iPhone will be released tomorrow.
By this point (no matter what anyone tells me) It has become a must purchase for me.

So, any idea if there's going to be huge camp-outs for this release?

The stores will all be opening at 8am. If there is going to be camp-outs, what's a good time to go? I was thinking the earliest I'd possibly consider is 6am, shouldn't this be good enough?

I'll be going to the AT&T store in Paramus NJ, rather than an apple store.

UPDATE: Went with other suggestions about waiting 2-3 hours after the release (See the post below) .... Guess what, outta phones. Guess I'll never check for advice on anything in ATOT again lulz.

Why don't you just wait 2-3 hour after the release and just walk in and get it like the original Iphone?

Never waited in a line for concert tickets either. There's something 'young' about it.

I read that some waited in line for the first one to buy the max quantity with the sole purpose of reselling them.

I'm going to show up an hour early, maybe a little sooner than that if I feel motivated. I have a few AT&T stores in the area and so it'll be a matter of just driving around and seeing which is the least busy.

I work at a University....the promoters give away concert tickets to us staff every now and again when a concert comes through if it's not a sellout. That's about the only time I'll wait in line...when it's something for free.

This whole waiting in line to pay FULL PRICE for something the day it comes out is ridiculous.

3g network (faster internet speeds), GPS, slightly different design (the silver scratch prone back is gone) lower price.

I waited in line for GTA San Andreas when it came out for PC, paid like $70 for it, ZERO regrets. Will gladly do same for next GTA on PC.

I work too and I plan on going to the AT&T store right across the street on my lunch break and walking out with one. It's not going to sell out.

And if I don't get it tomorrow, there's always Saturday. I figure I've been about a month without an iphone... waiting one more day is not gonna kill me.

uhh stores are supposed to be getting a couple thousand, and other places a couple hundred...you will be fine.

I honestly can't think of a good reason for a person over 16 to spend hours upon hours camping out to be the first one to get a toy or to save under $20. But hey, it is your life to waste.

Where exactly did you get the idea that I planned on waiting hours upon hours? And FYI, those 2 hours I plan on wasting, a lot of people are still sleeping during that time-frame. Guess all those people are wasting their lives away as well. One big waste filled dump world wee!

If you're in Canada, the new iPhone's plans by Rogers are a total ripoff. Boycott it. Also if you're in Canada, you're going to have to get in line really early because all the stores are getting a significantly reduced quantity than was originally planned.

I waited in line for the Wii on opening day for like an hour (at Coscto). Then laughed at those who waited all night, along with those ever since who have had trouble getting one.
