Its pretty much personal preference. There are lots of options. A gooseneck pouring kettle is recommended.
Hario V60 is good, 02 size. Use #4 cone filters folded over so you don't have to find the specific Hario filters that are imported from Japan. Non Hario filters will change the characteristics of the brewer, though. The hole in the bottom is very large, probably not the best for beginners.
Beehouse is good, I like the smaller one but it is a little small. The larger one may be the way to go, you will want #4 cone filters which are a little large for single cups. Otherwise the smaller #1 or #2 cone filter is what you want for the small beehouse. Generally #4 is the easiest to find in the supermarket.
Kalita wave is good, but again they are stuck with proprietary filters. Many say the flat bottom brewer provides even extraction. Never tried it but to me it probably wouldn't be a mind blowing difference over any other pour over cone. I value ease of finding filters and other things like that. Some have had success with using generic basket filters but you have to kind of reshape them.
There is other cone shaped pour overs like Bonmac, Clio, etc. Its all kind of the same thing generally. Also Clever Coffee dripper if you want more of immersion style brewing. I also think Bonavita makes a nice cone brewer.
Just don't get the large size #4 cone filter pour overs if you are doing single cups, because the sides are too tall.
I'm sure there are more options, this is off the top of my head. If you want cheap and durable go with Melitta one cup joe. Or a ceramic version of it.
Another thing, if you are using pre-ground coffee then you will want a single hole type brewer or immersion brewer if you like coffee with heavy body. Some like the beehouse or other ones out there have 2-3 holes on the bottom. This will make the coffee flow fast. Which means you will want a finer grind to compensate for fast brewing.
