Just because people enjoy particular drugs doesn't suggest addiction.

"addiction" is something that I don't feel is often well-defined, so it's kind of up to your own determination. You don't have to chug down 4 2L bottles of shit vodka to be considered addicted to alcohol consumption. Simply leaning on it to relieve stress after-work a la "happy hour" could very well be called an addiction. It just depends what your definition is.

However, things like depending on caffeine every morning in order to function is most certainly a drug addiction. No matter how much people don't want to admit it.

Caffeine from a fairly mild source (hot tea). That's it. Don't drink, don't smoke (what do you do) don't do drugs.

So I'm convinced everyone has a drug of some kind. It seems that everyone has SOMETHING that keeps them stable enough to make it through life's daily struggles. I'm just curious if my theory is in fact reality or not.

had to vote fapping; although i enjoy (responsibly) illegal drugs, they are getting more and more few, and far in between. i would gladly use more, if i could;

Caffeine 100% required mandatory every day, minimum 2 mugs filled with strong black coffee, ideally double that amount.

Nicotine, usually 20+ mg daily. I have opted to switch from ecigs to the patch to avoid a health insurance monthly surcharge though ... so we will see what happens.

Alcohol, usually 1-3 drinks a week, Beer, normally stouts, porters, or weird ales. Once in a while spirits, liquor, wine, or mixed drinks.

For functionality:
Amphetamine or caffeine depending on if I have a "big day"
For unwinding:
here or there take a benzo for relaxing before bed, don't drink, can't touch opiates.

Nicotine too, snus or chew/chaw/dip. Few other things that don't affect cognition as well.

Edit: I suppose I feel a bit like a chemistry experiment now.
