Just signed up and it wouldn't let me change it either.

Click "My Team" then "Edit Team Settings" then Team Name is the first thing you can change. "Location" will be the first part of your name and "Nickname" will be the second part.

If you haven't tried it, the ESPN interface blows away Yahoo....especially the live draft application. Of course, it's free just like Yahoo.

i am not gonna sign up for another draft....but what does it do better?

1. Players disappear from the selection list after they've been drafted so you don't have two pages of whited out play names to scroll through.
2. The scroll across the top that shows the order is about twice as long as Yahoo and includes the actual draft position.
3. Picks are displayed in a separate section from chat.
4. Defaults to better league settings than Yahoo. Includes the flex position and 7 backups and forces you to select a full starting team....you can't accidentally omit a kicker or defense.
5. List of players shows their projected 2009 numbers and players are ranked more appropriately.
6. More helpful audio alerts.
7. More stats for each player in the draft list.

That's just the draft. The team interface is better because it's easier to switch between different leagues you're in. It also has more stats for each player as far as their FF value. Live scoring is free. You can jump into an autocreated standard live draft in minutes instead of scheduling one for days out. Etc.

Ya it's not, but I turned in a request for them to change it and, barring that, if we could auto redraft and I'd manually add everybody's teams back. But they haven't got back to me.

My bad. I assumed the flex position was standard and fixed it for #5.

Na. There were plenty of betting league on ATOT and other places. This is for nerd bragging rights and some cheesy t-shirt.

I'm destined to be Team R. Tried again this moring and after I hit save settings the screen refreshes with the old name. Guess it is an appropriate name for quite possibly the worst team ever drafted.

The Yahoo guide says you can edit Roster Positions until scoring begins. But when I try, it says only before you draft. My emails asking for it to be change or the feature unlocked have all been ignored, so it looks like League #4 is going with 3WR.

Worked on the first draft of the shirt and it was so damn uncool it was awesome. Nerdy and obscure but still conveys the message. And, ya, I'm going to have them actually manufactured...no inkjet iron-ons or sharpies or whatever.

Okay. Forming a replacement league isn't going to be possible, so we're going with 3WR unless Yahoo comes through before Sunday.

Okay, final word from Yahoo is they will reset the draft. I told them to make it offline so I can put everything back the way it is......after I add the flex position, so we'll be good by Sunday.....and tonight's game will still count.

Bottom line is nobody has to do anything....it will magically be fixed.
