Ok, did anyone else get screwed by EA?

I ordered it, got email. No download link to beta?

Apparently they send out THOUSANDS of preorder emails with "null" for download link, so can't do it. The solution? contact EA support to resolve the issue..40min+ holds.

EA is terrible company. Why don't they just automatically make "beta" download option IN FREAKIN ORIGIN. lol

Uh you know you can just go to their website and download it? It's an OPEN beta. I didn't pre order anything, just followed the link and it popped up in my origin game manager.

If I may make some preemptive proposals:

No hardcore damage
No vehicle regen
No player regen

The beta is not hardcore, and I'm pretty happy with the damage output. It shouldn't be a twitch shooter like CoD, so anymore bullet damage would hurt it imo.

There's little need to explain the regen to any BF2 players. No regen = more teamwork and not just rambo CoD.

I don't think regen is all that bad. It's a whole lot slower then CoD or Halo. For vehicles it also helps that your not forced to be an engineer to man a tank for more then a minute. You still need an engi if you get disabled(2 hits going by the beta.

Yeah but do they work? I can't find reviews anywhere. I've had pretty damn good service from Gameservers in the past.

I can't vouch for them *recently*, but the Forgotten Hope 2 64 servers were always just fine (I stopped playing probably 2 years ago) and all their other Battlefield servers I ever played on were good.

Either way, there were plenty of hosts offering $.99/slot.

Well shit, AOWC had a $.99 special but it seems like it's over?

Really? If you can name a few, that'd be super - I'll go take a look. I'm finding that $1.29/slot is about the norm.

I'd also be curious to know what kind of hardware those cheaper servers are running on. I want it to be powerful stuff but I'm skeptical.
