Alright folks, here's where we stand:

We've got an unbranded, 48 slot server through Multiplay and a 48 slot Mumble server, to boot. I've never personally used Mumble but other folks seem to like it and the price was right

I'm reactivating my account with PBBans and we'll be streaming within the first 48 hours of server activation. We'll also have a hosted ProCon Layer (either through Branzone or Multiplay) so we can easily set up admin privs for those interested.

As far as donations go, Multiplay (for whatever stupid, stupid reason) doesn't offer a direct donation link. I'd like to avoid having folks PayPal me money directly - are there any other options? Some kind of escrow type service? PayPal donations? If it came to it, I would just accept the donations at my personal address and post them in this thread to make sure everything was transparent.

Thoughts? Comments? Hugs?

Just clicked on the .99 banner on the front page - nothing special. I PM'd you that info, so go to town on it

I've been impressed with their support - moreso than Multiplay. I've been able to Livechat with EoR a few times whereas MP has been...slower.

Definitely keep us updated where fun/mature anandtech players are playing! I would definitely throw some cash down for one of you that has reserved a server. I don't know if I would be clan material, because I don't play and ton, I suck, and am not super serious about it.. but I do love to play with people that like teamwork! Let us know when you update the FAQ with the list, and where to donate. Thanks!

Received this email from multiplayservers concerning my server today:

Looks like we will get a full 24 hours early setup for servers if we want it, at least from multiplay. We're running 64 player hardcore conquest on our server. Maps on rotation will be Caspian Border, Operation Firestorm and Damavand Peak.

We're trying hardcore at first, going to see how it plays out, if it's not so great then we'll be switching to normal. From what I've read around the forums, there is some expectation hardcore will be a similar damage model to what was in the beta minus the crosshair of course. That feels about right to me.

I also like that hardcore will have a minimap and hud for your health/ammo count unlike hardcore did in BFBC2. That was just a pain imo.
