Attach old 486 cpu fan to voodoo3 2000 heatsink

OK, so my voodoo card has a heatsink on it as default. Its exactly the same dimensions as a fan off of an old 33mhz 486 cpu i have. any ideas on how to attach to two? preferably without drilling holes into my card or the heatsink? I know i can just push some screws through to hold them together, but i dont want to do too much damage to the card or heatsink.

Use elastics! I dont thing the v3 2000 has wholes in the heat sink so those little tie things that come with garbage bags are no good.

The problem with that is the fact that the heatsink is above the area where you insert the card into the agp slot.

And yes, you are right that the heatsink does not have holes for screws to go through.

The V3 2K does have two holes in the board itself. Use plastic zip ties to attach the fan.

The clips of the 486 fan that I have jam nicely in between the HS fins on the V3 card. It's been running that way for 5 months now... Hasn't fallen off yet....

I used superglue the gel type, to put a 486 fan on a voodoo card. Been on for over a year now, check it on sunday still holding on good.

gizzo...what the hELL!?!?! errr, that heatsink is the same height as the card itself...dayum.

Yep the heatsink belongs for Xeon processor, HS is always air cold, got the stock HS taped on the backside which does help.

What funny i don't think that pic shows it but that HS is so heavy the end of the card is all tweaked and bent down.
