I only paid 75 and they're going for 100+ it's a good deal, sorry I don't have money to get a whole new rig and I'm sure there are lots of other in the same boat that would like a dual core cpu. thanks for insulting me though, Happy New Year buddy.:\

EDIT: the item in question is a 4400+ toledo in case you were wondering. and there is 20+ available.

so a 2.2Ghz out of date socket 939 CPU is certainly not a wise investment. A 785G is likely to have graphics on par with anything AGP and a athlon2 is faster clock-for-clock.

No 100 is not a very good deal, but if you offer 75 they will accept it, and that IMO is a good deal. Most are going for well over 100. and the opty 175 which is the same chip is like 130+...I wasn't bragging or moaning, just trying to pass along what I thought was a good deal. I've gotten more harrassment about it than anything...so I'll act accordingly in the future. Happy New Year everyone.

Some people only have a single core 939 and maybe only 80 dollars to spend for an upgrade.....so therefore it would be a good move. I'm not trying to sell the things. Think about it...if I wanted to get one of those cpus you mentioned I'd need a new mobo and new ram, and personally I'd need a good pcie video card too. How much is that gonna cost...maybe 300 or so, or maybe scrape the bottom of the barrel for 2 something.

exactly why it's a good deal .....especially for me with a nice agp card HIS x1950pro 512mb ....and for you, you'd have 2x1024 L2 cache instead of 2x512 you'd probably notice a difference...I'll have 2x1024 instead of 1x1024. I'll definitely notice a difference. I guess it mostly depends on what you use it for.
