Attention Seti TeAm Members

It appears that BroadBandReports has gotten their ace back in action and with a vengeance. Bandai is now producing at Cobra like levels ? 3,000 to 4,000 @ day. :Q

There is only one way we can ever hope to compete with this kind of production ? we need to recruit COMPANYS and SCHOOLS to join in the fray. If any of you have connections with these kind of institutions you need to make an attempt now!

It is perfectly understandable that the initial recruitment should be for your own individual personal account BUT if that is not successful you need to ask the BOSS or the SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR to start running SETI for the promotion and glory of the business or the school itself. The account would be in the name of the BOSS/BUSINESS or the SCHOOL's NAME. Of course, they should join Team AnandTech ... for that's the whole point of this venture.

To provide the company or school with a way to get their name promoted/advertised and provide them another feather in their cap that they can crow about might make the difference between a YES and a NO.

RaySun2Be suggests the following:

Maybe we could update the www.teamanandtech.com website to include a list of "corporate sponsors" of Team AnandTech SETI (could work for other projects as well).

With their corporate name, logo?, and a short description of the company.

Would that help convince some corporate entities to help out?

We have to be able to answer with as many strong positives as possible their questions:
"Why should xxx help Team AnandTech?"
"What benefits does xxx get from this?"
"What are the security issues?"
And for government and non-profit orgs:
"Is there any monetary gain (prizes, awards, etc.) that could cause us problems"

These are just a few. Maybe we can put together a bullet list of the top 10 major questions and concerns, and come up with solid answers to them.

It appears that every TOP team has corporate and school participants that give them that extra big boost. If we are to stay competitive we need to do the same.

Hehe, my college is the one that believes SETI@Home to be a major security risk. Haha...

Actually that is his normal production level. He has many more available PCs that are currently sitting idle.

If bandwidth to Beserkely was not a serious problem there would be more output than there is.

More output is coming..........

I think it would worry me if over half my teams output came from 1 guy. If he leaves where does that leave ya'll?

He's not talking about Berkeley's bandwidth...he's saying Bandai doesn't have enough bandwidth at his workplace to handle the load! :Q

(3 - 512k ASDL lines, if I'm not mistaken)! :Q
