For the love of god and the sake of humanity please fix your website. Either fix the system or get more bandwidth because the site is virtually unusable most of the time.

Many other big IT companies can do it so why cant ASUS?? Its really not good enough and has been a problem for a long time.

EDIT: i'm hoping someone from Asus will see this post.

EDIT 2: I have no problem with Asus hardware, my P6T is an excellent board, its just the website that is a problem.

Im very happy with ASUS hardware, i have purchased many Asus boards and they have always been reliable for me. They just need to fix their website.

I have no problems at all on the main website. Are you referring to the download section? That part is a bit funky sometimes.

I have no issues with their boards but the website has been unacceptably slow for as long as I can remember. Bandwidth costs money, so my guess is they throttle back since they already have the yours - and mine. They aren't the only ones to do this.

I love their hardware. No Asus product has ever failed on me and has performed its duty dutifully

But I agree their site is horrendous. They not only need to speed up the 5 minute wait to find drivers/bios, but the site is really drab and in need of an extreme makeover....I'm just saying

All of it really. I just went there to see which part was worse and got a "server too busy" message in the download section. If it does work it takes ages to load a page, and download speeds for drivers are slooow.

Its funny, i posted a rant about this a long time ago and people flamed the hell out of me for it, lol - flame on! The classic was the price gouge thread I made about New Egg which turned into a 5 page roast! Now people are seeing what I meant.

If you don't like ASUS motherboards then I wouldn't recommend their subsidiary ASSROCK. They are lower end motherboards.

Just playing with my first ASUS motherboard, I can't say i am impressed at all with P6T D V2 due to infrequent BIOS update and a couple of issues here and there with the highly hyped "ASUS quality".

Their boards are hit or miss imo, but they've mostly been hits in my experience. I am having a bit of buyer's remorse though with regard to my latest board purchase. If I had to do it over again I would've spent the extra $30-40 for the EVGA X58. Their website(s) are fail though, not being able to hardlink and having to navigate all of those drop down menus just sucks, especially given their horrible server and bandwidth speeds.

I'm pretty happy with the boards I've used from them, now and historically. I had a PIII board from them that ran and ran and ran. I finally took the box apart after 6 years and sold it for parts. My P5E-VM is also quite decent. Their site? Definitely a problem. The absolute worst use of Flash I have ever seen. Absolute butchery. They should just go back to CSS and Java. Flash makes Java look speedy. What were those guys thinking?

Also, I think their marketing slogan is beyond stupid. Rock Solid Heart Touching. If pressed I could probably come up with a vaguely obscene imitation, but right now I'm too lazy.

I agree with the website being too slow, WAAAY too slow and a horrible interface but when you buy a Maximus II Formula board like I did, you'd expect the memory pullins to work after a bunch of bios updates, not to mention the firmware of the Southbridge being out of date. It's a horrible hack job they did with that board when you can buy a UD3R or UD3P board and achieve 500fsb with a quad for, ... at the time I bought mine, ...200$ less than a board that can't even run a quad stable above 480fsb. I did boot into windows at 500 but was not stable for even 2 seconds of Prime95...

There is a long thread on the XS forums under 'Maximus II Formula ... a new P45 king?" that ends up with more people jumping off the MIIF bandwagon in favor of a different MB maker.

Welcome to last century. Yeah, Asus' web site has been slow since forever. Back then they ran it off a 14.4k modem. These days their bandwidth is the home DSL connection of the son of one of their engineers. When you get a "page not found" that means the kid is running a torrent.

Heh, good call on the ASUS website!

And while we're at it, how about letting us bookmark individual pages, like the Socket 775 download page, rather than having to go through three drop-down lists EACH AND EVERY SINGLE TIME WE VISIT THEIR WEBSITE!! It's one of the most time consuming websites to navigate when you know exactly where you want to go, but it still takes you a minute of clicking to get there!

Infrequent bios updates could mean their boards are already stable right? I mean if they need to release heaps of bios updates then obviously there must be problems.

You dont mention what your "issues" are but if infrequent bios updates is the biggest problem then it cant be too bad.

If its your first Asus board you might not have your bios settings entered right. Different vendors name things differently so you might need to doublecheck your settings. Also dont forget to turn off expressgate, and Jmicron to improve startup times.

Your logic is right, but I don't have a stability problem. I want 2 things on V2:

1. working Sleep mode with Bclck >=195

2. Enable Turbo while Speedstep is disabled

Asus is not updating BIOS to address this SM issue while other MB manufacturers are working towards correcting it with newer BIOS.
