Well guyz and galz, it looks like it is up to US.

With the end of EccP-109, we had hopes of some re-inforcements........... Didn't happen in large numbers, but to our newest budz, I know I am speaking for all of TeAm DF when I offer you thanks and encourage you to continue to help us represent Anandtech anyway.

While DF is a very straight-forward install and takes nothing to use, there are just a few tips and a tool to make life more fun if you want to. (Such as doubling your output by using extra RAM, not worrying about times the site is not available for upload by using extra buffers, installing the client as a Service, and monitoring/benchmarking your client using DFgui.exe.)

If you have ANY questions, there are lots of Folders who will be happy to help. (use PMs if you are bashfull)

I was lucky, and found that a couple of my friends were willing to let me put DF on their machines under my handle and get to enjoy a nice fat production (well, relatively speaking). Ask around..... Talk us up! You will be surprised at the assiimilations out there just waiting to happen!

We needed help but have been passed over by the 'regulars' here at Anandtech so we have to grab the ol' bootstraps and make it happen with our jolly little band as is.

Well, I don't have any plans to leave DF. I kinda like the folks here. I'll just keep plugging away.

Who can say why each person chooses the project they choose? There are great people all around AT, but I especially enjoy those of us who keep an eye on m0ti's DF Daily. Always a little humor and encouragement there (thanks alot, as always m0ti!)

No doubt this team could use a little boost if we are to move up in the ranks. Seems our daily production ranking roughly matches our overall rank, meaning we will not move any higher unless teams above us slow down. I guess that's okay, we still have a respectable showing, but....

I am in the middle of a major overhaul of my fleet, and many are torn apart and scattered all about the place. I thought I could get it all back together by now, but too many obstacles. I have set a tenative goal to double my total production by year's end. I have to see how many actually run after all this rearranging, but that's what I am thinking about shooting for. Maybe I can even sneak up on TheMagicman while he's not looking....

I thought that I'd let you guys know that I am taking some time off from DF to run seventeen or bust again. I'm waiting for a faster protein to start and I felt like a change. I tend to do that alot. I've run rc5, csc, ogr, seti, genome@home, folding@home, UD, and eccp109. I've also run most of the other distributed computing projects on my computer. I know I don't move up in the ranks by switching back and forth it is a way to keep my interest and I am glad to see new members join the team. I remember when there were under 100 member on teamanandtechs seti@home team and now look how big it is. I'm glad to see distributed folding gain more members since hardly anyone besides government and big companies have the resources to get huge server farms for this type of research. Hope to see the team get bigger and to see some results from all of our efforts.

It would be nice if we could have as big an influx of new members in DF as we have had on D2OL! I am keeping all but one machine on Df only because it won't run DF, keeps coming up with "Unable to Open Rotamer Library!"
