A few of us members of TA would like to setup another Fly In/Drive In Lan party this summer.

Here is a list of what BGod and I think will work the Best.

Also we would like an date of what yall are free as well, so we can narrow it down and possibly get things flowing... so far this is just an idea..

Basically trying to keep it somewhere along I-29 or I-94. One other place Wellcky forgot to mention is Minneapolis, MN. There's plenty to do and see, and quite a few members live there so finding a place to set up the LAN party wouldn't be such a big deal.

I need to turn in my vacation time request soon. I'd also like to do this before the end of June so I don't have to turn in a request to keep the vacation time I'd be carrying over from last year. Paperwork is such a pain in the you know what.

With my new job, I just don't know what that will bring, other than that I should get weekends off most of the time.

We are thinking about a Saturday/Sunday get-together, correct?

I agree with Vis. Weekends would be best. But if it's around minneapolis, it doesn't matter. Cause anywhere in the cities is within a 30-45 min drive. So pick a place and I will be there. I will be there no matter what this year. Last year I missed it and I will not do that again....

Wellcky, I was thinking about bringing this up again. This should be the largest gt yet.

I'd be up for another trip to Minneapolis, MN(driving from Grand Rapids, MI), as I'd probably be picking up some equipment from one of the local businesses there anyway: Asset Recovery CT Systems.

Let me know.. I probably wouldn't be able to arrange this until late May though.

I know I will be bringing my system with. I might even bring my 14 port hub with also. Even tho it's just a 10base. It's better then nothing at all.

I talked to Thunder a while back in IRC. He sounded like he was going to meet up with JonB and a few other guys in Texas. So our ace pilot from last year is out.

I'm with OrangeKid - May 19 &amp; 20th look great! Let's shoot for those dates for now, unless something earth shatter comes up. I'm coming down a few days early to do a little job hunting.

I vote for Minneapolis, MN. It's a 12 hour drive for me, but one I'd be more than happy to make. I hope someone has a floor I can crash on?!?

I'll bring the &quot;DataPimps Slaughterhouse&quot; UT server, a pair of SMC 16 port 10/100 switches (if Buy.com ever ships them), and another machine to game with. Does anyone have Q3A set up as a dedicated server? I'd do it if a Win9x box can be configured.

I can bring my own gaming rig and probably another box set up as a server if we need it. Additional networking gear won't be a problem either.. in fact, I've got a 3Com Switch 1600 right here(10/100 16port).

I know there is a lot of hotels around. And maybe we could get a room or some kinda deal we can use. I will start looking. Maybe OrangeKid or Wellcky should call me and maybe us three could start calling places or something....

Then give her the credit card (with only a $250 limit) and send her with OrangeKid's wife to the Mall of America.

That is unless she's a UT or Q3A freak. Then by all means bring her along! The more the merrier!
