Yeah, I would have happily kept that CPU, but I tried it on three different boards (with BIOSes that supported the chip) and all three would POST, but then gave errors or locked. My Asus P4P800 Deluxe would POST and then start beeping, and at every beep a line would be printed to the screen to the effect of:

I don't remember the exact wording or number, but it was something like that. This is using newest BIOS and having used that board with a few other Prescotts.
