I am thinking about buying this card. Is it compatible with Windows XP, or am I going to have problems like my 7200?

All Radeons, including the first Radeon 32mb, are Windows XP compatible. Hell, even the older Rage128 based ATI cards are XP compatible. Your 7200 falls under the XP compatible list...not sure why you think otherwise.

I've run a 7200 on XP for about 6 months with absolutely no problems. If you're having issues it's something else, not the graphics card.

And yes, any AGP card made by ATi is xp compatible.

It probably would have been quicker if you would have went to ATI's site and checked to see if they had XP drivers.

I've ran a Radeon LE, Radeon 64mb VIVO, and now an 8500 (all on XP) with absolutely no issues. I've never used any of the VIVO or "All In Wonder" functions though, so I can't really speak to that.

Maybe you could be more specific as to what features you had problems with (or might be anticipating having problems with)?

all radeon cards are compatible with windows xp. the new catalyst drivers are great too.

I think whoever said that about an ati card should drink a tall glass of shut the hell up! If he likes ati let him get ati, dont bash them. They make the market better. Besides, ati does have a better igp than nvidia..... that is why their graphics look better, but nvidia is faster. So depending on what you want...... me, I want both... I am thinking about making a hybrid card ... maybe putting the igp from an ati onto a geforce card to see if it will work. Hmmmm, frankenstein!!!
