I'm kinda biased since i get thing from resellers, so all teh prices of these palces seeem kinda high but here's a run down.
Please remeber first of all all purchaces are %14 higher. In Canada everyone pays tax. Hell i payed tax on some of my own ram someone sent back to me this morning.
ATIC... Avoid like the plauge. Cheap on "big things" but if you want a cable etc hellava expensive. They charge $10.00 for an ata33 cable. Not 66 but 33. Also service is bad. If a computer part doesn't work they can charge you $30.00 if you put it togethter yourself. Even if it's DOA. Seen it happen a couple of times. IF you return an abit board $30.00 RMA charge. Add to that theri always sold out and really you have a pretty
sh!tty establishment.
AMK Computers. Great for cooling etc but otherwise prices are not interesting. Infineon ram Can be ahd for about $105.00 elsewhere, and prices are high for fans but they have a bucnh of stuff no available elsewhere.
Addax. Ok service OK price. Nothing special.
A-power. My personal recomondation after MODUS or myself Great prices and pretty good service. Some of thier complete systems are a steal. Don't be fooled though. IF you want an os installed it's an extra 138 for win98se /me. Their prices do not include this so buyer beware. IF you buy a computer as advertiesed it will includenothing other thatn the hardware in a case.
ICI and Rock computer. NOt so great price ok service. Again nothing special.
NCIX Got a lot of stuff and in stock but prices are kinda high adn very busy cramped store. Service is so-so. At least the guys can speak proper english.
worldwide. Another personal favorite. Used to buy form them befroe i could buy from resellers. THey have good service and can generally get most things in qucikly. NOT always cheapest on "big parts" but sunon fans whcih are $10.00 at amk and atic are only 5.50 here. The palce to go for network/ ata cable etc. Kinda hard to fidn teh richmond location thouhg. Generally pricing is pretty good.
