Engineering office AC: 6000BTU.Projected high of 104.. which means with our weak ass A/C at work it'll be 85 inside by 2pm. yay.
Is it humid in Texas?
If it's 100 degrees here but not humid, it feels no different than some 80 degree days.
I couldn't sleep last night it was so hot and humid. Don't have any AC or even a fan yet, so just open windows basically doesn't do shit. I woke up to "feels like 35c" and 70% humidity. When I leave work it will be "feels like 40c" with 79% humidity. It's disgusting. Looks like it's gonna be like this tomorrow too... bleh.
Considering there's a gigantic body of water just to our East, yes Texas can be extremely humid. Summer days in Houston = 95-105F and rain everyday in the afternoon.
That doesn't mean much, LA isn't really humid, nor is San Diego.
We had snow this year, on Christmas for the first time in my lifetime. :awe:There is this cool phenomenon that happens in some parts of the world. It is called snow. You should research it.
It's kind of like if you hit 0 in your neck of the woods, it would probably hit the news as kind of a big deal. Whereas upstate New York 0 is a heat wave in the winter.
not so much upstate as it does probably every summer in the NYC. also, we rarely, if ever... reach triple digits. We had snow this year, on Christmas for the first time in my lifetime. :awe:
It hits 95 every year in the NY area.

Wow.
Houston and much of Texas is humid. The coastal regions in particular, but it can get humid as far north as the DFW area. This is because of the large body of water called the Gulf of Mexico.
Simple enough?
Urban heat effect I'm sure, is central air common upstate/NYC or does everyone use window units since it's probably 2 months/year?not so much upstate as it does probably every summer in the NYC. also, we rarely, if ever... reach triple digits.

Were you dropped on your head as a child, or perhaps fed lead based paint chips as a snack?Perhaps too simple for you, because areas located within close proximity to large bodies of water, like the Pacific Ocean, are not necessarily humid.

he's just a smart ass who thinks he actually knows a thing or two because he "studies law".
