Attn: Gamers.. Which one is better? MS Game Voice or Roger Wilco??

I am interested in trying one out.. Anyone have any experience with either one?

I know Roger Wilco is free. However, some reviews I have seen say the MS one has better support.

I use Roger Wilco, never had a problem with it and it was easy to set up. The only thing I've found is that there's a slight delay, but you only notice it when your talking on the phone at the same time. I usually call my dad to ask him if he wants to play a game so I'm on the phone when we set up a channel for Roger Wilco.

RW always causes weird issues for me. I play TFC, and I cant prime a grenade if I have RW on

I have the MS game voice but never even used it. I just use it as a nifty speaker/headphones switcheroo thingamajig.

I use RW. I've heard that MS GV has better quality and so do TeamSpeak and TeamSound...but they all eat up more bandwidth. I can deal with lower quality sound as long as my teammates have good mics. RW is not very bandwidth intensive which is important for FPS games

Any affordable headset recommendations? I just picked up the Labtec Axis 502s, after deliberating against the behind-the-ear Labtec Axis 002s. Since I haven't opened the package, I can still return/exchange it if there's a particular better unit out there. Thanks!

You can't go wrong with the 502s, that's what I use for CS. Works great. As for software I used to run Game Commander II, personally I liked it better than MS Game Voice.

Really?? RW uses less bandwidth? I know one should not believe all they read, but M$ says theirs uses lil bandwidth, in their ads.

I havent used either in a long time.. 2+ years.. but I belive MS's version is formerly battlecom, which was a freaking nice program. It had way more features then RW had at the time.

As for bandwidth.. thats not to big of a concern. Battlecom used to have multiple quality settings.. Different compression rates.. So if you were on a 28.8k modem and trying to play, you still use the program, but it wouldnt sound so hot.. or it you had a phat pipe, you could jack up the quality.. RW only had the single setting if I remember correctly..

I think you could try both and see what you like best.

Perhaps you had the same key binded for both the gren and RW? It really should work without a hitch with TFC (if you set it up correctly) since it was kinda developed around TF and TFC..
