22A on the 12v line too.....this seems to be a good deal! I wish I wasn't on a "quieting my PC kick" though, I wonder how noisy it is.

I buy Xcase psus for the comps I build for people and they're much better deals on those than this one. They also run 25A on the +12V rail. Not so hot if you ask me...

Kamranziadar...how about you stfu and not post if all your going to do is waste space with your "not hot" replies. How about someone who's actually used this PSU comment on it instead of you stat junkies who want to give their expert opinion on something which they have no first hand experience of and crap the OP's post.

I replaced my Antec Truepower 430 with this PSU... My PSU is not that old and it was the 2nd Antec PSU I've owned that wasn't too great. My 5v and 12v rails were never solid. I didn't want to blow my wad on another expensive PSU so I decided to go budget and this was one of the better budge psu's i've found. It's heavier in weight than my Antec and the rails are all rock solid. It's a hair louder than my Antec though but not bad at all.

Yeah I understand the PSU is one of the more important components in your PC but this is doing the job just fine for me....and its $30 bucks for a solid decent PSU. Yeah maybe its not an Antec or an Enermax but its also not $80-100+ dollars. Not everyone wants to spend alot of money on a Power Supply. Just stay away from the known junky psu's and do a little research and you should be ok with a non big brand name PSU like the rosewill which is neweggs rebadged brand.

This looks like a good deal. You have to watch Rosewill PSUs because they use Powmax sometimes which is considerd low end but this does not appear to be one. This is selling for $42 shipped at the sister site, Newegg, and has good 5 star review at NE (yeah, I know, you have to take NE reviews with a grain of salt).

Thanks for the review shurato

They have a Fortron 300W PSU on sale tomorrow for $19.99 and free shipping.

The AP ones are made by ATNG Power. The RE ones are made by youngyear. They are all decent for average systems.

Thanks. Bought one... my elcheapo "MUSTANG" craps out on me whenever I do heavy crunching and have the case closed (overheating, I presume). Can't complain too much because it was basically free.

This should be much more stable.

I have used cheap power supplies for over 2 years now, never had a problem. It's really a hit and miss thing.

Waynewal has a good question. Is PSU sufficent to run PCIe cards?

Any ATX12V or higher power supply can power PCI-E, depending on the total system power needs. Your total system power needs still must be equal to or less than the rated PSU output (preferrably less than). PCI-E cards do not consume more power than their AGP counterparts.

This looks like a hot deal to me, if the PSU is really as advertised.
I couldn't find specs on loudness though. Will keep looking.

Newegg also sells and pushes a lot of THERMALTAKE Silent Purepower W0014RU ATX 480W. They go for $55 + $7 shipping. (it was $ 54 a few days ago.)

They only have 18 amps on the 12v, but it has a 5 star rating and has been bought by more than double the people that have gotten the Rosewill.

Does anyone know how they compare?

I'm going to be oc ing a P4 2.8E Prescott--not the new Prescotts, but the ones that suck power and put out lots of heat.

Will either of these two PSU's do it?

I've got to decide quickly, since Newegg's sale goes off in 4 hours.

Thanks,
Bob
