Why does the MSU center point at someone before every snap?
He is basically telegraphing when the snap is going to happen on every play.

Not watching but I assume he's pointing out blitzers and calling assignments and stuff. Happens pretty often...
Looks like he is calling out assignments like mentioned above. A for him telegraphing the snap he might not be realizing he is doing it.
Kind of like receivers that tuck their hands when they're running a pass play or let them hang when they're just blocking for a run. People do little things like that and good defense will pick up on them.
It is just so odd that he does it on every play, no?

I agree it is odd. I'm not currently watching that game but is it very loud in the stadium? That might be the reason behind it. Or they are still working the kinks out with blocking assignments.
