I have audacity on my Mac, and it is just fine for the few times that I fire it up, but I want something better.
Or at least, better looking, and preferrably OS X native. That is the biggie, cuz as it is right now, Audacity is not parallel friendly, so it eats up all of one core when it does exporting, instead of load balancing. Furthermore, simple tasks take longer than they rightfully should (as compared to doing the same basic things in say... iMovie), and by simple I mean just navigating around and zooming and what not, not the exporting or anything.
So, does anyone know if there is a program much like Audacity, but OS X native? Prefer it to be free, but wouldn't say no if there was a small fee (less than $10)
