Compuplus offers the drive shipped in 1 - 2 days ......Staples can't beet that shipping time so there for they do not charge you shipping and handeling, Staples only charges you if they can get the drive out in a Competitors time frame offered .............. I already figured this would happen since im a an omen of bad luck. I called and got some lady who gave me a hassel about the shipping I was poliete as possible and told her the shipping they offer is second day and are you going to be giving me the same shipping deal ? She replied "Sir sorry but were going to work the shipping into the price". I haggled with her for a few minutes and gave up, decided I'll call back later and hope her shift is over. Anyways can someone suggest some persuason tatics or smooth talking that got them the free shipping ? BTW EXM I e-mailed you but got some mail server error.

Ok, I have phase one done based on Krutoy's advice (purchase from Staples using $50 off $200 coupon).

I even asked the guy who took my order, after I gave him the coupon: "If I find this item on sale elsewhere, I can pricematch, right?" and he said "Yep, you have 14 days".

Is it best to wait until the item is in my hands to do the PM so they can't try to mess with my order, or should I just do it now? Or is there really no difference? I'd think that some CSRs would see that I'd used a $50 off $200 coupon but the "new" price would be under $200 and they'd give me crap about it. Or do they usually not care?

I returned my Audigy 2 Platinum at CompUSSR today for the (Audigy 2 Platinum EX) they gave me in store credit twards the EX and I paid $42 aditional dollars..Bringing my Platinum EX to $172 out the door $130 + $42 = $172..............Total saveings around $100 Retail EX $249.99 + TAX would be around $260_$270

I think best way to PM is about 30 minutes after order placed. I call in, tell the CSR I would like to do a price match, give order #, and place to pm to. The csr then puts me on hold and goes to check all the details of it. I never had problems about using the coupon before a pm, however I dont bother asking about it. There's also not much you can do about shipping charges, if Staples is doing next day delivery they will also add it to the PM, thats just part of the game. Also, I find it best to call before order is placed, because if there are any problems it's much easier to cancel.
