Hey,
Prolem:
I'm working on a computer for my friend who wants an audigy 2 ZS installed in his dell. He told me tho that when he tried to put it in himself, it would freeze on him. So when i tried it, id did happen, and sounds like a never ending mobo post beep cept coming from the speakers.
Attempted fixes:
-I tried reinstalling, didn't work,
-tried different PCI slots, didn't work,
-tried a S.blaster 16 card, it worked fine.
-Tried the Audigy 2zs card in a different computer, worked fine.
-checked the IRQ's with the audigy in the dell, thinking there's a conflict somewhere... it does share an IRQ with the "Nvidia vga adapter", but when i try to change one, they both change.
-I tried movin the audigy to different pci slots again but that didn't work either. I tried to find a way to disable / undo the vga assignment to that IRQ, but i couldn't find it in the bios...
I'm running out of options... any suggestions?
