My friend just got a mic so we can talk on skype, but his card doesn't let him use it for some reason. When he goes into advanced options it is grayed out so he can't get into the advanced options for the mic itself. We know that his mic is not outputting any sound because we tried it in sound recorder and on skype, both a no go. It has nothing to do with the mic itself, that's fine and it's plugged in correctly, but the card (Soundmax digital audio, some integrated card in his dell 4400) is giving us problems. Anyone know what to do?
