Aureal 2 help needed

Installed a Diamond MX 300 with the latest Aureal drivers. Worked well but decided I'd like to try the Diamond drivers. Followed the included instructions to uninstall the Aureal drivers and then installed the Diamond drivers. That too worked ok.
Now, I decided to go back tthe Aureal drivers. Uninstalled Diamond drivers and re-installed Aureal drivers. Games and music play ok, but when I attempt to launch the Aureal program to modify settings, I get the following error: "A required .DLL file, OLEPRO32.DLL was not found." What gives?? Anyone? Thanks.

I will assume Win9x for the moment. Are you ABSOLUTELY sure that you've UNINSTALLED everything related to the sound card? Go to the Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs are get rid of everything from Aureal/Vortex/Diamond that's related to sound. Then, go to the device manager and get rid of all the devices there related to sound. You may have to use safe mode to get rid of everything. Start over with the latest Vortex2 drivers (2048) and have a great day.

Thanks. Yes, I'm using Win 98 SE. I've been doing exactly as you suggest. I'll try again later and double check that all Aureal and Diamond sound stuff is uninstalled prior to reinstalling drivers and post if it solves the problems.

PS - Had been considering an upgrade to Win ME. Do you know if the VOrtex 2 is supported?

Seems like everything (drivers & apps.) is gone but I still have the same problem. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

Any Inf files there relateing to the Aureal Drivers? I'd use the reference drivers if I had a choice...
