That didn't take long for those to jump on guns rather than the people (I use that term loosely) who killed the man.

Just look at them. I'm shocked at what they look like. :/

Um, we live in a civilization. Perhaps we should put them on trial? Lynch mobs are so 19th century.

Yea, but whitey wont be held as accountable. The two blacks are just enough to spark another 5 threads in P&N on how to fix the Black community.

1) Why is this tolerated on the boards when derogatory terms for black persons are not?

2) None of the three youths were white.

Do your really believe a white person, where he involved in this crime, would not be held "as" accountable if he shot the victim dead? How much of your hate does everybody else have to tolerate because of your skin tone?

Is it racist if I know you are black from how you approached this subject but still judge you on my perception of your character based on your rhetoric and not skin tone?

Imagine aliens. Imagine some have scales and others don't. The ones with scales think they are better than the ones that have none. That's racist! And silly. Silly racist people.

More info about the case from down under news source = http://www.news.com.au/national-new...-lane-identified/story-fnii5sms-1226700172461

And of course, we have the "my little angel baby aint' do nothing" from the clueless parents. No wonder their kids turn out to be criminals with that kind of parenting.

Jennifer Luna, whose son is suspected of firing the fatal shot, claimed her son was at home saying: "My son is not that way. My son is a good kid."

The mother of the 16-year-old accused of firing the single bullet from a handgun into Lane's back said she didn't believe her son was involved.
The father of the 15-year-old admitted his son had been in trouble with the law, but described him as a good boy.

Two of the accused teens' parents insist they were not involved in the killing.
"That's my baby boy," said the mother of the 16-year-old accused of firing the single bullet from a handgun into the back of Mr Lane.
She doesn't believe her son was involved in the shooting, saying today he was not a member of a gang and definitely not the one who pulled the trigger
.
The father of the 15-year-old accused of being in the car admitted his son had been in some previous "kid stuff" trouble with the law, but described him as a good boy who also was not part of a gang.
"I don't think so," the father replied when asked if his son could have been part of the murder.
"Because he's not the type of person. He likes to wrestle. He's into sports."

I guess all this is made up?

...the killer left a chilling message on Facebook before the spree - "Bang. Two drops in two hours".

Chief Ford said the three teens had no motive other than to ''make a name for themselves'' and were on their way to another house to murder a second, unrelated victim when they were arrested.

Rest assure, Obama will make a statement of "If I have a son" very soon and will direct Holden to investigate any civil right violation. Al and Jessie and the black community will set up a march to demand swift justice for this "creepy ass cracka". Right?<sarcastic>

You are right. If we had no guns they would have killed them by other means.

I'm very on the fence with respect to gun control (my position has changed over time from against legalized gun ownership to apathetic), but I think this line of thinking is logically flawed.

Opportunity, and ease of execution, plays at least some part in whether or not crimes are committed by people. A a gun is by far the easiest and least risky way to kill someone.

Sure. Put them on trial, convict (they freaking confessed, with pride) then shoot them. We really need to bring back execution by firing squad.

Look at the bright side, at least the Australian didn't have a gun. If he did he would have killed these poor innocent kids and it would have been a Zimmerman trial all over again.

At this rate it will take 120 years or so for the US
to be within other first world countries numbers.....

I hear gun control advocates saying "if it takes generations to eliminate guns in America, then we should start now" all too often.

Also keep in mind the odds of your being shot in the US are still near zero (.00274% according to FBI data), other first world countries just add in two or three zeroes. For having the density of guns that we have, we're doing pretty damn well and getting better without even trying.

Will it make you feel better?

I imagine removing convicted, unapologetic murderous sociopaths from the face of the planet would make a lot of people feel better.

There should be a sufficient standard of evidence, but it says a lot about how fat and happy we are as a nation that we provide free housing and medical care to murderers and rapists as opposed to removing them. Never mind that being shot is a much better deterrent than imprisonment.

Go for it. I refuse to admit fault for others actions, especially when I had no part, don't know them, never met them, live 1500 miles away. Fuck that...I have my own responsibilities. My two kids.

People that think like these killers do don't deserve a second chance. They didn't retaliate. They didn't do it in the heat of the moment. They gunned down someone for no reason. Animals.

But, to each his own. At some point, people have to take responsibility for their actions.

I feel I need to chime in here. I have two boys as well. I'm responsible for them and I teach them right from wrong. These street urchins need to be put down. There is no hope of them learning morals or empathy at 15+ years old.

Another thing, I have to go to an Australian news source to get pictures of these thugs?! Apparently our "free" press is too scared of being politically incorrect to post their pictures. Shameful.

If nobody had guns, this Aussie dude would still be alive.

Not really. These 3 animals were determined to kill people. Unless the Aussie was secretly Jet Li they would have used knives or baseball bats or whatever and he would have suffered all the more.

That and US law strictly prohibits the sale of guns to minors, so...

That's an excellent leap to make.

As was earlier pointed out guns allow for greater facility when it comes to murder. Also distancing, so the victim never has to know it is even coming and the shooter can feel a greater emotional distance from the act.

Yea the PC idiocy of our media is unbelievable.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Australian-student-street-named-pictured.html

The difference in reporting vs CNN is absolutely staggering. And yes, if we drop the PC crap, we know the difference is because of racism in America, just not the kind we've been led to believe by the race baiters. This is what you get when dealing with race issues devolves into quota based mentality instead of simply removing race and dealing with the individuals.

They were black, so f'ing what? Oh we can't report on the race or show pictures that indicate the lifestyle of the individuals because of the particular race involved. Makes sense in an American government kind of way, funny its displayed so clearly in the media reporting.

Will it make you feel better? Your feelings are very important.

It would make me feel better if they were all executed (after being found guilty by trial). I dont want to pay for their lives in prison and they arent worth being kept alive with their outlook on life. "it was fun"
