cheapest B&M place to get Invisiglass?

Also, what kind of cleaner can I clean my dash with? I don't know what kind of surface it is, but the car's a 99 Acura TL

you can pick up invisible glass cleaner at any store - pep boys, strauss auto, autobarn, etc.

clean your dash with 303 aerospace protectant. it has uv protection and good for the dash, works on leather and vinyl. it's like .99 for a 15oz bottle at my strauss auto store.

The paint on my newly acquired 14 old car is in excellent shape and I'd like to keep it that way. I plan on washing the car at least once a week. However, how often should I be claying/polishing/waxing?

kerosine or dish soap will strip the wax, and anything else on the car.

do NOT use a drive through car wash. they can possibly scratch the shizzle out of your car, and arent exactly soft on your car.

if your that anal about reusing dirty water, just dump the bucket out every time.

if its cool enough out this weekend, i might do the WHOLE damn new car i got, claybar and all.

I always heard that running them through a decent car wash was actually a lot better than washing yourself because washing frmo a bucket means you are using dirty water to clean the car, plus most people dump the soap and stuff down the drain which isn't good, etc.. Car Washes use always clean water, they have to dispose of it properly, etc....

And these days it might actually be cheaper since it's only like $5-$7 for a basic wash at lots of places.

But of course if you use fancy products to do the cleaning then it may be better to do it yourself.

You use 2 buckets, 1 for dirty water 1 for clean soapy water. Replace as necessary.

You know, I have like 800 worth of detailing products....and I firmly believe that application is WAY more important than whatever products you use. Before buying all the zaino components and whatever glazes/products you want, get a porter cable for application. It completely DESTROYS hand application of anything.

Is PakShak a good source for MF towels? I've heard some great things about JT International MF towels as well.

Step 1: Wash with small amount of dish soap in a bucket of water.
Step 2: Clay the car. I bought clay off Proper Auto Care's site and use car wash shampoo with the clay.
Step 3: Wash the car and wheels with a car wash shampoo and a good wash mitt.
Step 4: Dry the car with soft towels.
Step 5: Clean the windows with Invisible Glass aerosol can and using newspapers to dry.
Step 6: Polish the car with Klasse All-In-One polish. Then apply as many coats of Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze you want to add shine. Klasse is the best stuff I have ever used. Shine still lasts months after I applied it.
Step 7: Detail the inside. I use Vinylex for most of the interior and exterior trim.
Step 8: Vacuum and then I Febreze (auto) for a nice smell.

Yes, their large blue ones are awesome, I have 3 or 4 of them. Soak up water like you can't imagine.
