yes it is possible, and the best way to learn is to just use it and try stuff. of course tutorials help, but in order to actually remember it, you will need to practice. good luck.
i think you should try Rhino for industrial modeling... lots more tutorials too. Check rhino3d for a free eval version... takes a little while to get used to but offers more freedom than a CAD program
I'd like something that I could, say, make a model of things, such as:
92mm fan
120mm fan
hard drive
mobo
heatsink
PSU
Etc.
Then, I could make copies of those objects and place them where I want them to go, then I could design the case around them. Is that possible in Autocad or Rhino?
Is there a way to tell it to make a shape that's, say, 120mm x 120mm x 32mm? Obviously I'd have to set a boundary for my "canvas," but that's not a problem.
Also, does anyone know of any Rhino 3d tutorials out there?
