My x800 Pro that I ordered last week on bestbuy.com is still in 'backordered' status (They are supposed to start shipping the 13th).
And now you can no longer order one from their site, as they are now listing the Pros as 'Sold Out', and the XT's are still listed as 'Coming Soon'. Weird. They have people practically lined up to drop $400-$500 on video cards (not including all of us who preordered & already paid), and they won't allow any more pre-orders on the Pros? Thats crazy. I wonder what their management is thinking. Maybe their shipments of Pros are going to take longer to receive than expected, and they don't want to receive too many complaints from pre-paying customers over the extended wait time? I guess we will see over the next couple of weeks.
For me, waiting won't be all that hard to swallow, considering I got 10% off the price of the card for ordering online last week during their July 4th sale, plus I'm getting a 0% APR on my best buy card that I used to place the order.
EDIT: While typing this, I just received this email from bestbuy.com re: my x800 Pro pre-order....25 days? WOAH! I guess they aren't going to be shipping the week of July 13th after all:
