Availablity of DVD+RW Drives

Hi,
I'm looking into the possibility of using DVD's to transfer a large amount of database export files to remote users.
From looking around it looks like the DVD+RW is the way to go as dar as compatability with DVD-ROM drives, but I can't seem to find much info on the availability of DVD+RW drives.

Does anybody know where I can find more info, or know of release dates etc?
